Hi all,

This is just an announcement regarding the use of Yahoo accounts to sign into Proxiteam. At the present moment, there's something broken in either Yahoo's code or our code that's preventing people from signing in with a Yahoo account. I've received many crash emails today indicating that people are trying to get in using Yahoo.

For the time being, while we investigate this, please sign in/up using a different OpenID provider. We recommend MyOpenID, if you haven't already got another OpenID you can use (eg Google, Steam, etc). Later, when we get it fixed, you can link up your Yahoo account to your Proxiteam account and start signing in with Yahoo instead.

Thanks guys.

Hi guys! I got this red error msg when I tried to sign in with my yahoo!, "Authentication failed: Message signature was incorrect. Please try again." Then another red warning msg from sign-in with AOL, "Warning! site verification could not be completed." I got my first Google account and it worked! Clearly there is favorism going on here LoL.

That's strange. I just tried logging in right now with my Steam account and it worked fine. Maybe it was a temporary problem on their end... if you have another issue please post immediately in this thread so I can see what time it happened so I know which crash report is yours. If you don't see the crash screen, please post the error message you see on the login screen.

The first fix we will try is upgrading the library we use to do OpenID. Hopefully this will fix the problems we've been having.

I was having problems setting up my account with Steam as my OpenID that Dwain managed to fix
Is it the same issue?

I don't know anything about that issue... can you fill me in, Dwain?

I can't remember Jarc's specific issue. It was one of two things. Most likely Jarc had issues due to previously signing in at http://proxiteam.net before we enforced http://www.proxiteam.net/

I do seem to recall Jarc as being one of these accounts.

Either that, or it was the session expiry issue which is resolved by using internet explorer. But I'm quite certain Jarc's problem was the former.

Okay, good. That means his problem is unrelated and has already been fixed (it is impossible to get to proxiteam.net any more; you get pushed to www if you try).
