Hey everyone,

So our first practice session was a few days ago. We had a good amount of people show up(at least 10) and we practiced for about 3-4 hours ago. So I wanted to ask the team for feedback. What did you or didn't like about the practice sessions? Was it helpful? Did you have fun? Is there anything you would like to see? What do you think we could incorporate as a team to make practices more efficient? How often do you want us to have practice sessions?

Please address all, any, or maybe other questions that you have on your mind regarding practice sessions. ANY feedback is appreciated. <33333.

I thoroughly enjoyed the practice session.

Recommendations:
  • Let's make this available only to rostered members and applicants. Not that it isn't fun, but as a 'practice' activity we really gain no practice when fight demolishes johnny bronze infront of us all.
  • Everyone obsing the same game is inefficient. How about splitting into pairs or groups of three? And people rotate within their group of three in the same fashion. This ensures players get to play more games.
  • Make it a rule to have a disussion after all games? I really want the 'practice' part of this exercise to be explicit. Otherwise, it's like normal mass gaming sessions, which are good, but hardly equate to a practice session. Each game should conclude with a discussion that leaves both players of the game with something to take away and think about. This is about improvement.
I'm happy for things to continue as they are though, cause it was still super fun :)

Yeah i don't really think there was enough feedback for some games and others there was a lot. I like the idea of splitting up into groups we could split up into our races and then practice against the other groups and ourselves for mirror match-ups.

Agreed. I'm also going to make it for the people whose computers can support it, to get Skype. The vent is awesome but it only holds 8 people.

Definitely agree with Dwain. I think its better to keep it to rostered members.

I'm currently looking into running TeamSpeak instead of Vent. I believe their free version allows up to 32 which is awesome.

The only reason I'm not running TeamSpeak already is because the last time I ran TeamSpeak was back in like TeamSpeak Version 1. They're now up to version 3 so I reckon that should be heaps better by now, we'll see.

I've heard good things about TeamSpeak.
These practice sessions sound like a quality addition to the proxiteam gamelife - good stuff fellas.

On another note, I just had an idea: There should be an 'Applicants' and an 'AppliCANTs' list. Applicants are those who have real potential and are showing both interest and improvement, and the applicants are useless pricks on there out of sympathy.

But in all seriousness, some of those 'applicants' have been on there for several months. Cleansing time!

I've got something in the works as far as increasing the utility behind the applicants list.

I love the idea. TeamSpeak is a pretty solid program in my opinion.

So guys, how often do you guys want to have practice days?

I reckon we ought to make it weekly :) If people can't dedicate to weekly that's fine, we'll still get more people each weekend by making it weekly anyway

weekly practice would be fucking awesome, though my saturdays are about to all get taken up with sports, so maybe if a few wanted to play a few games the night b4 or such ? :D and it was interesting watching fight rip apart everyone, was hoping bobo was going to pull a never before seen strat and confuse the shit out of him. but :(

I also liked the have a discussion at the end of each game, and maybe even while watching games, the obs could just make notes on things as they go wrong to talk at the end, would help me heaps :D

Spewin I missed this one, I had a very severe case of the hangovers lol. My friends had released a new single, so had to go to the launch party, and alcohol had to be consumed. It was out of my control
