I was interesting in seeing what peripherals everyone is using currently. I know a lot of people just use the bits and pieces that came with their computers. I would be interested to see what kinds of things people have been enjoying, and the pros and cons of certain devices.

I am currently using -

mouse - RAT 7 http://cyborggaming.com/prod/rat7.htm

keys - Razer Blackwidow mechanical with cherry MX blues
http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.211324200

headset - Plantronics 777 http://www.plantronics.com/us/product/gamecom-777

mousepad - Razer goliathus speed http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169417100

I am very happy with all of these at the moment. Although i am extremely tempted to buy:

Your kidding about the pink keyboard right?

Your mouse looks like it came from the movie Terminator lol.

I currently use everything came with my computer.

I'm using the Razer Salmosa as a mouse, and the mousepad is the mousepad I got when I bought the WoW: Cataclysm Collectors Edition. Got Deathwing breathing out fire and shit, pretty cool. And it's really nice too, nice and smooth. I'll post pics up in a bit.

the razer mouses are pretty epic, i used a deathadder for ages. i have that same mousepad haha, i found it a bit sticky though.

i spend too much money on this stuff, but i enjoy trying different things out.

Hahaha alright if you say so.

Well the mouse I won over a BW tournament back when I was a freshman in college 2 years ago at a local LAN. Got second place and got the mouse with a mousepad.

The headset I bought after the old I had broke after I stepped on it :X.

Currently using a Steelseries 6Gv2 mechanical with black cherry switches, razer lachesis mouse, Creative HS1100 Fatal1ty headset, and a Razer control mousepad. But ordered myself a new Steelseries Xai and QcK mousepad cause the lachesis has this awkward dip where the fingers rest, and I have a claw grip. Great internet browsing mouse but hard to control properly with. And whatever you do, don't buy the razer control mousepad with the lachesis, you'll go insane with the amount of times you have to clean the sensors.

thats epic that you won a mouse bobo haha, wish i could do that.

lucky, are the brown switches actually quiet like they say, or not really?

pioneer thats some good testing of things, let me know how the Xai is, ive heard great things about that mouse, and also that mousepad. I gave away my death adder cause it felt a bit funny too.

Im not fond of razer gear, its just poorly designed in my opinion, and a tad over priced. In terms of swithces, you just have to try a few before you find one you like. sad but true.

No MX switches are particularly quiet. It's just quiet relative to others like the blues for example. As for my preferred switch, I use brown for gaming at home and black for coding at work. HOWEVER, I like blacks better and would prefer to use blacks for gaming except the keyb with blacks is a weird shape and not good for gaming. If I had a filco with MX Blacks I would use that for gaming. They're both very good though.

Yeah that is huuuugee! Do you play like 20metres back, with like 1trillion DPI
Australia Rostered Member for Proxiteam April 19 2011 18:01Posts: 117
i would sit further back but i was cheap and got a 3m hdmi cable so i am limited to setting up my desk about 3 or so metre back. >_< i must say it does take effort to have to bend at the neck to check the mini map and supply cap haha
Australia April 19 2011 20:32Posts: 305
omg nova that is just insane haha. does the quality look ok?

I just bought a qsenn dt-35, the old keyboard that most of the pros still use. it was 30 bucks, i just wanna try it out. im pretty sure it will just be the same as any cheap keyboard, but its so weird that like 70% of the pros still use them.

If its decent i might sell my mechanical one...
