ESEA (an fps-centered league) is holding it's annual playoff-LAN this weekend, starting in a few minutes. Games being played at this LAN inlcudes Counter-strike 1.6, Counter-strike: Source, Team fortress 2 and perhaps more. All I really care about though is the TF2 tournament.

It's not a very 'big' LAN with only the top4 teams attending, but on the other hand it's the best four teams and they're all relatively close in skill level, so every match should be exciting. This year the teams attending are: Complexity, eMazing Gaming, Blight Gaming and Check six.

The regular season has been utterly dominated by Check Six, who has gone undefeated with a perfect 16-0 record, with the rest of the teams almost even and having to fight very hard in order to secure their top4 LAN spot. Being good online doesn't necessarily translate into being good at LAN, though, as has been demonstrated time and time again at the ESEA LAN. Check Six is a relatively young team with a lot of players who have not had previous LAN experience (4 out of 6 have not been to LAN before) which could turn out to be a big disadvantage for them. Emazing Gaming has also been playing the majority of the season without their best player, Yz50(weird name, I know), who is at this LAN and Blight has a tradition of being kind of bad in the regular season only to do amazing on LAN, so things might not be as straight forward as they seem.

Anyway, the games are scheduled to start at 10:00 am eastern time which is RIGHT NOW, but considering how games are always late and they're asking gamers to be up at 10am i'll probably be slightly delayed.

MyGaming Edge (MGE) will be streaming and casting all of the games via Justin.tv: http://www.justin.tv/mygamingedge . One of the Casters is Cbear, a guy who reminds me a lot of Incontrol, so if nothing else there's that :P . There will also be a mumble cast (same as the stream) and source tv relays for those who own the game and want to control the camera themselves, but I'm assuming you won't bother.

Edit: In case you do bother here's where to find more info:

The game is slightly delayed for some reason. Right now the managers of the two teams are just running around in the server as scouts.

Edit: Stream's going, the game is about to start.
